What we do, and what it costs
Prices below are typical for a standard saloon or small pickup. Bigger jobs — gearbox work, engine rebuilds — are quoted after we've looked at the vehicle. Parts are charged separately at cost plus a small markup, and we always tell you the figure before we start.
A workshop that fits in a van
Babagalleh started the way most useful things in Brikama start — with someone asking for a favour. A neighbour's pickup wouldn't start, the nearest garage was full for the week, and it got fixed on the spot with a borrowed socket set and a lot of patience. Word travelled. The socket set got bigger.
Today we run a properly equipped mobile workshop: diagnostic scanner, compressor, jack and stands, torque wrenches, a full socket and spanner set, and a stock of the parts that fail most often in this climate — batteries, belts, hoses, brake pads, filters. What we don't carry, we can usually get in Brikama or Serrekunda the same day.
The reason people keep calling isn't the convenience. It's that we tell them what's actually wrong. If a repair can wait, we say so. If a car isn't worth what the repair would cost, we say that too. A mechanic who only ever has good news is not being straight with you.
